Trading Strategies

Build your own trading system.

A trading strategy is a set of entry, exit and risk-management rules a trader builds on the laws of the market. This section is a structured walkthrough of the main strategy frameworks, ready to run with MT5 indicators and EA tools. Whichever strategy you choose, risk comes first: position sizing and stop-loss discipline run through every one of them.

Core strategy frameworks (1–5)

Trend Following
Trade with the trend. Look for pullbacks to go long in an uptrend and for opportunities to go short in a downtrend. Common tools such as moving averages (MA/EMA), MACD and ADX help define the trend, with trailing stops to manage the ride.
Range Trading
When price keeps oscillating between support and resistance, buy near the bottom of the range and sell near the top. This suits periods of contracting volatility. Oscillators such as RSI and Bollinger Bands help confirm when extremes have been reached.
Breakout Trading
Captures the continuation that follows a break of a key level: enter with the move after a high-volume break of resistance, or wait for a pullback that confirms it. Beware of false breakouts and manage risk with stops and position sizing.
Grid and Martingale
Place layered orders at price intervals in ranging markets, averaging in over time or scaling in to lower the average cost. Such strategies draw down heavily in trending conditions. Professional traders strictly limit the number of layers and pair them with risk controls, so please use them with caution.
Money Management and Discipline
Keep the risk of each trade to 1%-2% of account equity, set a fixed stop loss and avoid frequent, oversized trading. A strategy is only worth as much as its long-term consistency. Start by testing in demo, verify with small live positions, and build discipline step by step.

Trading Strategy FAQs

Which strategy should a beginner learn first?

Start with trend following and money management. Their rules are clear and easy to review, which helps you build discipline. Once you are comfortable with the market, explore range and breakout strategies.

Do I need an EA to automate my strategy?

An EA helps execute a strategy with strict discipline and frees you from watching the screen, but automation cannot remove market risk. Fully validate your strategy on a demo account before considering running it live.
